Dr. Christine Neagoe

Dr. Neagoe earned her medical degree from the University of Sherbrooke in Quebec, completed her Family Medicine Residency at McMaster University in Ontario, and pursued a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University.

She received her Focused Practice Designation in Dermatology in 2017 and has since enhanced her expertise in Aesthetic Medicine through advanced training with institutions including the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine and the Allergan Medical Institute. She has dedicated her practice to a combination of medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Neagoe serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University, where she continues to educate and mentor the next generation of physicians through both lectures and hands-on clinical supervision. 

She is an active member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society of Canada, the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine, Aesthetic Medical Network Inc., and the Aesthetic Complications Expert Group. 

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Neagoe enjoys crafting, hiking, weight training, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Shumona De

Dr. Shumona De is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She completed her honours undergraduate degree in Microbiology & Immunology as well as her medical degree at Dalhousie University, followed by family medicine residency in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Since following her husband to Hamilton in 2017, she has worked in family practices in Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford and Stoney Creek. 

She has graduated with distinction from University of Cardiff’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology program, and has also completed training and practice under the supervision of a dermatologist.

She is a member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society of Canada.

Her other medical interests include medical education and evaluation, and she is an active member of the Committee on Examinations at the College of Family Physicians of Canada. 

Dr. Jennifer Coulson

Born and raised in Hamilton, Dr. Jennifer Coulson is a Family Physician with a Focused Practice in Dermatology.

She completed medical school at Western University in 2012 and her Family Medicine residency in 2014.

Since then she has been serving the Cambridge community through her family practice at the Hespeler Medical Clinic.

In 2022, she earned a Diploma in Practical Dermatology and a Certificate in Dermoscopy from Cardiff University.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Coulson stays busy raising her three young children. 

Dr. Nellina Saveriano

Dr. Saveriano is a graduate of McGill University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degrees in Honors Immunology and Physiology as well as her Medical Degree. She completed an Internal Medicine Internship prior to General Surgery training followed by a Dermatology Residency.  She has a Dermatology specialist certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and from the American Board of Dermatology.  

Dr. Saveriano holds staff positions at St. Joseph’s Healthcare and the Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation. She is an Assistant Clinical professor in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster University.  She is Past Chairman of the Division of Dermatology, Hamilton Academy of Medicine.

She has served on several committees of the Hamilton Academy of Medicine. Dr. Saveriano has authored numerous publications. She has participated in several television interviews on Dermatology topics. She continues to train the next generation of physicians.  

Dr. Richard Backstein

Dr. Backstein is a board certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

He obtained his medical degree from the University of Toronto in 2007. He then went on to successfully complete a 5-year residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto in 2012. Since that time he has obtained additional fellowship training in Cosmetic and General Plastic Surgery in Melbourne, Australia.

In addition, he has completed a fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the Toronto Western Hospital. 

He is currently extremely active in the surgical treatment of benign and malignant skin conditions throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas. He has co-authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals. 

Dr. Oksana Boychuk

Dr.Boychuk graduated from the Medical University of Vienna and completed her residency in Family Medicine in Austria. Since relocating to Canada in 2015, she has practiced in both Alberta and Ontario, caring for patients in various clinical settings.
 
in 2023, she completed a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University, expanding her expertise in the diagnosis and management of skin conditions.
 
Her practice focuses strongly on skin cancer prevention and early detection. She is dedicated to providing throughout skin checks, educating patients about sun protection, and supporting long-term skin health. She combines evidence-based medicine with a patient-centred approach to help individuals feel informed, comfortable and confident in their care.
